Knit and Crochet Group

Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Drop-In Job Search and Résumé Help
Thursday, March 15    2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Adults — An Illinois WorkNet representative will be available to answer your job search questions and provide résumé assistance. Location: Study Room B.


Wednesday Night Book Group
Wednesday, March 21    7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults — Get together with other readers for an interesting discussion. "The North Water" by Ian McGuire will be discussed. The book for April, "An Invisible Thread" by Laura Schroff will be available at the Check-Out Desk. Newcomers are welcome any time.

Legos at the Library

Kids — What can you create? We’ll provide the Legos® so please bring your imagination! All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. No registration required.


Writers' Group
Thursday, March 22    6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Adults and Teens — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Meets in the Library Board Room. No registration required. Open to adults and high school students.


Messy Munchkins
Monday, March 26    10:30 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. OR 6:00 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.
Kids — Little ones can squish and smush their way to the benefits of messy play with us. Things to touch, smell, see, hear, and lots of other sensory experiences will be available. This is a child-directed program, enjoy as many of the activities as they'd like and stay for as little as 10 minutes or the full 45 minutes. Come dressed for fun. For children 0-5, with a grown-up. Older siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Dog Day Afternoon
Wednesday, March 28    1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.
Kids — Come sit with a certified therapy dog and practice reading aloud. Bring a book along or choose one of ours. When you sign up you’ll register for a 15-minute time slot. For independent students entering grades K-8 only. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids’ Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.

Free Movie for Kids

Kids — Free movie for kids. Big screen Ninjago adventure. Rated PG. All ages, children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. Free refreshments served. No registration required. Attendance is limited to the first 80 people.
