Writers' Group

Adults and Teens — Come join other writers to discuss your work. Open to adults and high school students. No registration required.


Rhyme Time
Thursdays: February 22 & March 1, 8, 15    10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Kids — For babies to age 3 accompanied by an adult. This lap sit storytime features action rhymes, finger plays, songs, movement activities, a simple story, and parent-child reading time. Active adult participation is an integral part of this program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Readtaculars-Tarzan & His Animal Friends
Thursday, February 22    4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Kids — We'll share some stories, learn about some jungle animals, and play fun games. For independent students in grades K-3. Parents and younger siblings may wait in the Kids' Library during the program. Call 630-552-2025 to register.


Knit and Crochet Group
Thursday, March 1    10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Adults — This informal group works on their own projects, discusses types and colors of yarns, and helps each other with new or tricky patterns. They love to watch each other's projects develop. Participants bring their own supplies. They invite you to stop by and "yarn" awhile. No registration required.


Movie Matinee
Monday, March 5    1:00 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.
Adults — Based on the true story of salesman-turned-pastor Michael Spurlock (John Corbett), the tiny church he was ordered to shut down, and a group of refugees from Southeast Asia. Together, they risk everything to plant seeds for a future that might just save them all. Rated PG. 2017.

New Life for Old Bags
Saturday, March 10    10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
